Who are we?

We are the Neujahr family: Joel, Melanie, and Naomi. We are all natives of Appleton, Wisconsin, but live far from home.  (Appleton, Wisconsin has the area code 920.  Hence the name “Nine-Two-Oh Here We Go!”) Joel is a a Foreign Service Specialist with the US Department of State. Melanie is currently a full time mother to Naomi and wife to Joel. Naomi is a full time handful.

Shortly after sharing the news of Joel’s job offer and eventual acceptance of a position in the US Foreign Service, many family and friends suggested that we start a blog for everyone at home to keep up with our ever changing lives.

Both Joel and Mel are amateur blogging hobbyists at best and are currently struggling together as they learn web development, the basics of blogging, and media management. Please be patient if something doesn’t quite work right. Or even better, leave a comment or send a message to let us know!
